  • It's simple! You can request a service by filling out a form on our website, sending us an email, texting us, or giving us a call. Once we receive your request, here's what happens:

    1. We reach out to several qualified service providers (typically more than three) in our network who specialize in the service you need. These providers will give us their estimates and availability for your requested time.

    2. Based on their pricing and availability, we will select the best provider for your request.

    3. Once we've chosen the provider, we will call you to confirm the details and schedule the service. Your contact information will only be shared with the provider at the time of the appointment.

    When submitting your request, please include as much detail as possible about the service you need, your location, and your preferred timing.

  • Yes, to ensure a secure platform for everyone and to avoid scams, customers need to complete a quick verification process before submitting a service request.

    1. Pass a background check.
    2. Provide proof of insurance (we verify directly).
    3. Hold any required licenses or certifications.
    4. Maintain excellent customer reviews and ratings.

    Providers who fail to meet these standards are removed from our network.

  • Here’s a quick breakdown to help you choose the right service:

    1. Handymen: Great for small tasks like fixing leaky faucets, assembling furniture, or
      patching drywall. Handymen in California can take on jobs up to $500, including parts
      and labor.
    2. Contractors: Licensed pros who handle bigger projects like remodeling, plumbing, and
      electrical work.

    ReliaBay works with both, ensuring you get the right expert for your job.

  • It depends on the job:

    1. Handyman Work: No license is required for jobs under $500.
    2. Contractor Work: Requires a valid contractor’s license from the California Contractors State License Board (CSLB).


    We work exclusively with licensed and insured providers for all contractor-level services.

  • If you earn more than $600 annually through ReliaBay, you’re required to report your income to
    the IRS. Don’t worry—we’ll send you a 1099 form at the end of the year to make filing your taxes easier.

    Pro Tip: Keep track of your expenses (e.g., tools, gas) to maximize deductions!

    1. Contact Us Immediately: Let us know about any issues within 24 hours.

    2. Resolution Process: We’ll work with the provider to resolve the problem—whether that means a redo, a partial refund, or another solution.

    For damages, we’ll provide the provider’s insurance information to assist with claims.
